Vigil at Broadview Detention Center – 4/26-4/27

Every day 1,100 hard working people are imprisoned, separated from their families and forcibly removed from our communities by Immigration and Custom Enforcement.

Under the first year of the Obama Administration almost 400,000 people were deported from the U.S.

Join us for an interfaith vigil at Broadview Detention Center.

The vigil will be followed by food and an all-night watch at the Broadview Detention Center (1930 Beach St., Broadview, Ill.), which will end with a prayerful action Tuesday morning. Please bring a symbol representing how your community is affected by the broken immigration system to leave behind for a memorial.

Note: This event begins at 7 pm Monday evening. It lasts all night at concludes at 9 am Tuesday morning.
