“WORK IT, GIRL! Jewish Women as Leaders in Social Justice”

Rabbi Ali Abrams

Jewish women have long been at the forefront of social justice movements and leaders for change in the world. Let us look at what the accomplishments of the past can teach us today.

Before coming to JCUA, Rabbi Alison Abrams served as Assistant Rabbi at Temple Chai in Long Grove, IL. She has also worked as the Director of Faith Community Outreach at Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE) in Los Angeles.

This event is part of a fall 2012 series titled “Who’s Got the Power?  Empowering Modern Jewish Women.” The series is sponsored by the Adult Jewish Education Co-op (AJEC), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide learning opportunities for the Jewish community, primarily within the Northwest Suburbs.
