Fierce Women of Faith Prayer Vigil

August 5, 2012Image

Are you a person of faith?  Do you believe that we all need to stand together and bring attention to the state of emergency in Chicago surrounding gun violence?  Then join us for a powerful and important action this week.

In coordination with Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office, Fierce Women of Faith (FWF), including Or Tzedek teen participants, will be coming together to prayer for peace on Chicago’s streets. We will gather on Thursday August 8th at 6pm in Garfield Park, on the corners of Central Park and Madison Avenues. While we are calling on women of faith to gather, we hope to see anyone who wants to create change in the way violence is impacting Chicago’s neighborhoods.

Add your voice and stand with us at the FWF Prayer Vigil to promote a peaceful Chicago that is safe for every person, consistent with the dignity we all deserve, just by virtue of being human.

Please RSVP here if you can attend on August 8th and contact Rabbi Ali Abrams with any questions.
