Before this frozen January concludes, we want to thank you for making 2013 a resounding success. Your generosity allowed JCUA to enter 2014 with strong footing and an expanding road map for building our momentum.

Whether you are interested in immigration reform, responding to gun violence, a fair state tax structure, community investment, or building bridges with communities that face poverty and racism, JCUA is creating spaces for you to get involved, develop leadership skills, and get to know your city.

Rabbi Ben Greenberg Joins JCUA Staff

Greenberg

I am absolutely thrilled to announce JCUA’s newly appointed Director of Programs, Rabbi Ben Greenberg, who will be leading this work.

Ben is a former JCUA Rabbinic Fellow (2008) and has served as the Senior Rabbi of BMH-BJ Congregation, a Denver Synagogue for the past two years before which he was the campus rabbi at Harvard Hillel in Cambridge, Mass.

While receiving his rabbinical degree at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School in New York, Ben held fellowships with Interfaith Workers Justice and CLAL: The Center for Jewish Learning and Leadership and is an alum of the Rabbis Without Borders Fellowship.

“It gives me great excitement to join the fabulous staff of the JCUA in working to fulfill the vital mission of combating poverty and racism in the Chicagoland area,” Ben told me. “JCUA has played a remarkable role in the life of Chicago for the past 50 years and I am deeply thrilled to be a part of the next chapter in that incredible story.”
